SLI’s TIPS
NOTE: We took the Summer off from posting tips during our USB Campaign! I won’t always send emails reminding you about the tips (now bi-monthly, not weekly), SO CHECK THIS PAGE WEEKLY OR AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH for updates we periodically post! Bookmark this page for your monthly tips. You can actually win 6-figures, land your dream career, or avoid making huge life-long mistakes, just from some of these tips! Access will expire on the date your SLI Monthly Scholarship Membership enrollment expires (see the bottom of this page for more clarification). Also, don’t forget to check out the priceless monthly Q&As (https://scholarshipleadershipinstitute.com/monthly-qas/). If you are a paid-up Monthly Member, after 8-months you get access to all the past Tips of the Week (…and Q&A replays), including those you may have missed from Tip #1! If you get to a site that no longer works or accurately reflects my intent, please let me know so I can update it. Things change, so I need to make sure I keep up as they do. Your help is appreciated.
Tip #110 – There are a lot of colleges that offer full-ride scholarships! Don’t overlook them, especially if your choices for schools aren’t offering any big scholarships! Keep checking schools that you are willing to consider to see what they offer. Some of you are already qualified for their full-ride scholarships, but you don’t know what you don’t know! As I said below, you are not alone, so if you get stuck, email me or join our live monthly call! Click here to access this awesome site!
Tip #109 – Don’t forget to search for Scholarships by month (December example)! There are scholarships for middle schoolers through college students on sites like these! Research them each month and apply! This isn’t rocket science y’all! You are not alone, so if you get stuck, email me or join our live monthly call! Click here to access this awesome site!
Tip #108 – How to get Scholarships in High School! It’s like they took a lot of this from the Membership course you are currently enrolled in. SLI is like a Jeannie in a bottle. Try rubbing the bottle to find your success in finding and winning scholarships! Do some of the things in the article. It REALLY works, if you try it! Click here to access this awesome site!
Tip #107 – Top 20 Scholarships to Apply for this Summer! While there are a zillion scholarships to apply for, this is a great place to get started for this Summer! We are going to give an iPad away this Summer in a contest, so get your student ready by practicing with this list! Click here to access this awesome site!
Tip #106 – How to tell when a scholarship is a scam? This question was asked a couple of times recently, so I’m making it a tip and the topic for tonight’s live Q&A Call! I found it online and decided to share it with you.
LEGITIMATE SCHOLARSHIPS:
- Require essays or at least a few short-answer responses
- Require additional support such as transcripts, SAT/ACT scores and recommendation letters
- Most have minimum G.P.A requirements – though there are some exceptions to this
- Are rewarded once or twice per year
SCHOLARSHIPS THAT ARE MOST LIKELY A SCAM:
- One 100 characters or less for your ‘essay’
- Commonly use the term ‘sweepstakes’, ‘drawing’, or ‘random selection’
- Have zero requirements aside from entering your basic information
- Ask for your social security number (FAFSA [a government site] is the only legitimate site that should ask for this)
- Are rewarded weekly or monthly
Tip #105 – How to Find Local Scholarships in Your Own Backyard: I could have written this article and most of you have heard me talk about this! “While a student’s first instinct may be to aim for high-dollar, national college scholarships, experts say this may turn him or her into a “little fish in a big pond.” Instead, local scholarships may often offer less competition and a greater chance for success.” Click here to access this awesome site!
Tip #104 – How to Save on College Application Fees: Many of our students apply to 20 colleges and more! Deciding what college to go to is tough, so I understand the urge to apply to them all! This site will give you advice on how to save or avoid paying those fees! Click here to access this awesome site!
Tip #103 – Number2.com! Deciding what college to go to, what major to start with, and what career to go into is difficult, but first you need to prep for college. Regardless of whether you have started studying for the ACT test or SAT exam or even applied for a college, our guides to help you choose the right career path and educational opportunities to get you there. Tip #102 – Treat “Winning Scholarships & College Prep” better than your “Physical Therapy” practices! Get inspired today by using this video to help you get better! This is a private 13-min monthly https://vimeo.com/268724567/db37d7e518

Middle School thru College-age students are missing out on money to pay for college! Help me stop the madness by setting examples. Watch this 13-min video then get refocused! Enjoy and don’t get in your feelings as you watch this clip:Tip #101 – Some School Scholarships are Automatic! Make sure you do a google search for your State’s Academic Merit Scholarships! There is a treasure trove of automatic scholarships based on your kid’s portfolio. Google “Academic Merit Scholarships” “Enter Your State” “filetype:pdf” (Put quotes around “Academic Merit Scholarships). The following link shows some of these automatic scholarships for several Texas schools: https://www.pfisd.net/cms/lib/TX01001527/Centricity/Domain/216/Academic%20Merit%20Scholarships%20-%20%20Texas.pdf
I went on to find the following link to ALL of the Texas Colleges/Universities. There you can see in many instances EXACTLY what scores are needed to get FREE money from the school based on what your student ALREADY qualifies for. My son went to Prairie View A&M. Check out their link to see exactly what scores he needed to get one of their merit scholarships! Then try it with your State of choice. If you are in another state, most of their schools have automatic scholarships! Look them up! Here is the list for Texas Schools: https://comptroller.texas.gov/programs/education/msp/schools/list/
Tip #100 – School Scholarships are a great way to help pay for college! Make sure you search the sites of the school(s) you are interested in for myriad great opportunities. Hey guys, I leave these tips throughout the month! Once I post the new tip, I’m going to move the previous tips to a master list that is only available to those who are paid in full or have been with us for 8-months. If you have access to the Master Tips list in the menu, you will continue to do so as long as you are still a paid member! You should copy these weekly tips into a document so you can review them periodically while still enrolled in the membership. This is my way of encouraging you to at least check into the site twice a month! Keep up with the tips b/c I won’t send them out again, ok?
Note: Some tips will be videos, books, websites, etc. But every tip will provide information like this to you to act on. We will continue to teach you the big picture, success strategies and so much more! Watch the video below (If you haven’t done so yet) then review the benefits below based on your current enrollment in the Scholarship Academy!
